The story so far

“I write to forget the troubles of the world, and I write to remember.”

A life between the classroom and the page.

David A. Lynn is a teacher and writer raised in rural New Mexico. He was the first person in his immediate family to graduate from high school and then from college—a path that shaped both the educator he became and the stories he chooses to tell.

After nearly a decade in secondary education, David understands that people rarely fit into clean categories. The classroom has reinforced what strong fiction already knows: every person carries a history, every choice has a context, and easy judgments often leave out the most important part of the story.

His writing follows people through grief, temptation, loyalty, betrayal, and the consequences of what they do when certainty disappears. He is less interested in perfect heroes than in recognizable human beings—flawed, responsible, and still capable of surprising the reader.

The name on the spine

One name began the work. Another carries it forward.

Socorro Means “Help” was published under David A. Lynn. Future novels and series will appear under M1ST3RG0LD—a pen name for stories willing to enter darker rooms, question easy loyalties, and leave the final judgment with the reader.
